The previous model reminded me of Rachel Whiteread's 'House' [seeing the inside from the outside]

I have a book of her's - if I can find it I'll bring it in for you to look at. She did a holocaust memorial with library books - taking a cast of the negative space of a shelf full of books. Very powerful work.

Any idea of what that piece might be called, the one about the Holocaust? I really like projects that use negative space (I have a weird fasination with it!)

The work I know is called 'Library' and I think it became part of the Vienna Holocaust Memorial. I have a video about this somewhere. I'll look for it.

Cheers rob - man I would really like to see that project on video (currently reading about it as we speak, so beautiful!), this looks like a really interesting side project that might somehow squeeze into a couple of projects...

If anybody else has any more wonderful examples they can post here (or on my site - creating some merging of blogs - interesting idea [*thinking aloud])

Hi Alison,
we seem to have squatted on your blog. Hope you don't mind. I found the video [it's a South Bank Show] and watched it last night - I'll bring it in tuesday and we'll get a VCR from TRB.
