I remembered today about J.K.Potters photo manipulations. I have one of his books called horripilations. Well even though weve just finished our projects, I thought Frank might like them. Neither of these pictures is the one I was looking for, theres a really nice one of two arms/hands joined together, but well, Im sure you can see the relevance.

Just wish I'd remembered them earlier! sorry.

Just a few more pics Ive found while looking at the endlessly fascinating standing stones and what not of th UK. Great site here where most of these pics have come from.

okay so the first pic isnt even made of stone, but it represents the kind of disturbing, exciting atmosphere that these kind of structures can create. (its Sillbury hill)

Megalithic monuments create a sense of connection between people, as though they are all experiencing something... greater.(pic when you could still touch stone henge, 1984 hawkwind solstice)

Avebury. What can I say... the picture kinda rounds up my dancing round the monolith with flaming torches as a form of ritual idea from earlier.

Monoliths and ancient sites have a strange effect on people indeed. (this one reminds me of someone...)

I'd like to repeat a few words of wisom that Jay kindly passed on yesterday.

AAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGH!!!

heres board 2's piccy. There is writing on the board istelf, but well.. it wouldnt look good to post the whole board here (the writing would look like a smudge).

But yay! finished the boards for printing tomorrow! Just a shame Ive still gotta write all those words and plan a talk and slides n stuff.

You know Ive just realised how slack Ive been getting with image file sizes on the web. I just dont seem to care anymore, that last picture was over 100K and do I care... not really no.

board 2 is proving tricky. I want to get them printed on Friday (or even tomorrow) so I have to finish them today. Im so crap at putting words on boards, words are so difficult to layout when combined with pictures. Ive always thought that pictures should be able to explain themselves... anyway, must get these out of the way.

OMG!

Am I the only one who thinks this is just absolutely stunning...

I cant believe it, I'd love to go somewhere and just look at something like this. I found after following a crazy trail of things... On a German website (I had to use a translator and everything). Its by an architect called Jean Nouvel and its called (I can barely contain my excitement) Monolith. It was featured in the "Schweizer Expo 2002"

Amazing...

one of my boards? perhaps... took me long enough to do it.

well, had an interesting weekend. Thought of a few extra things about my project but Im not sure I can possibly do them all for next Tuesday. I dont like this whole, just concentrate on the presentation thing, because Im finding it terribly difficult to present this whole thing in an interesting and pretty way. Tried texturing the beast at the weekend tryed to make it look more like it could exist... I think the lith's too dark. but its a start.

Hopefully going to print it out this week (dave liked the idea) if I can, I have a hideous feeling though that it cant be printed, Ive got rid of all the impossible in life planes (i think) and made it all one object. But I still think the beast isnt gonna print... we shall see.
